Guide – Jurassic Lake
A musician, Guide and family man – we love this guy
Alfredo Bovio is a favorite at Estancia Laguna Verde. His passion for life carries over into his enthusiasm as a fishing guide. He picked up his first fly rod at the age of 11 and has been traveling and fishing in Patagonia ever since. In 2009 after Alfredo was certified, he took his first job as a fly-fishing guide at the age of 20 and in 2012 he took a job at Estancia Laguna Verde. Alfredo, like many guides at Jurassic Lake, has an amazing ability to spot fish below the surface. His warm smile can brighten even the toughest day. Music is Alfredo’s other focus in life. He and his wife, Mariela are both very musically inclined and have played in bands, and currently teach music near their home. Alfredo also has a son, Traful and dedicates a lot of family time to him and his wife when he is not chasing fish. Alfredo’s personality is contagious and when he is around the lodge and with clients it is going to be a good day. We are very happy to have Alfredo on our team and we know his influence on his son will create another great fisherman in the years to come.

Join us for an exciting free get-together on zoom. We are going to discuss our upcoming seasons and events and recap some events and outings we have just finished. The highlight of the night will be our January 2023 season at our centerpiece fishing location in the Amazon jungle.
This August we are finally getting another opportunity to have our Care&Share program put to work. This will be our best chance since the outbreak of COVID to have the opportunity to visit several indigenous villages in the heart of the Amazon Jungle.
